More than a charity:

We provide a listening ear and sympathetic pastoral care with information and advice as well as provision of food, clothing and basic necessities.

Volunteers at the Matthew 25 Mission aim to support people trying to rebuild broken lives, especially those with life-threatening addiction, loneliness, bereavement, unemployment, homelessness, offending and more.
For over 20 years the project (formerly known as Oasis) has helped many to find their way back into society again.

What we do to help:

  • We provide breakfast and lunch seven days a week to anyone in need 52 weeks a year.

  • We support 2 community projects to serve food and support the most vulnerable; 2 evenings a week.

Absolute Angels for the Homeless and Food4Thought

  • We provide food parcels to families in need and deliver breakfast and lunch to guests who have physical disabilities, when needed.

  • We provide support, hope & motivation through our range of activities that are designed to help those in need.

  • We direct people to specialist agencies while maintaining links of friendship and compassion and a safety net to help anyone who might be marginalised by society.

  • We encourage, through self-enabling, a clear direction for each person or family. Using a range of activities people willing to participate and show commitment are able to restore motivation and take positive steps forward.

Why the name Matthew 25?

Our name comes from the Bible Matthew 25 verses 35-36

For I was hungry and you gave me food,

I was thirsty and you gave me drink,

I was a stranger and you welcomed me,

I was naked and you clothed me,

I was sick and you visited me,

I was in prison and you came to me. (ESV)
